Former Northridge Players Parker, Benefield Join Arena League Team
Chris Parker, the second-leading passer in Cal State Northridge football history, and Dave Benefield, an All-WFC linebacker for CSUN in 1989, have signed with the Los Angeles Wings of the Arena Football League, the team announced.
Parker threw for 3,825 yards and 31 touchdowns in the 1985 and 1986 seasons, second only to Bruce Lemmerman in both categories.
The Wings begin training camp May 10 and will open their season May 29 at Dallas. The team, which has moved from Denver, will make its Sports Arena debut June 6 against the Orlando Predators.
