GAS FUTURE: Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Anaheim and the Hyatt Regency Irvine will soon install natural gas fuel cells to produce power and heat; it’s part of an experiment by the gas company. Southern California Gas picked the two among 10 initial sites. . . . “These fuel cells are the future,” says the gas company’s Michelle Bagley. “They’re clean and noiseless. We have a waiting list of companies that want to try them.”
