Atwater Village : Murder Charges Sought
Los Angeles police detectives said Wednesday that they will ask the district attorney’s office to file murder charges against an Atwater Village man who allegedly killed his wife and her sister, then turned the gun on himself.
Detective Ron Whitt said that Carlos Oliva, 48, shot himself once in the head Friday after killing his wife, Gloria Reyes, 37, and her sister, Norma Reyes, 29, during an argument at their home on the 3200 block of Casitas Avenue Friday.
Oliva survived the shooting and is now in stable condition in the jail ward of County-USC Medical Center.
