BURBANK : Traffic Signals to Be Synchronized
The Burbank City Council has taken steps toward synchronizing traffic signals on Glenoaks Boulevard to ease traffic in Burbank and Glendale.
The council agreed Tuesday to Los Angeles County plans to designate Glenoaks a Los Angeles County highway so the street will qualify for a county signal synchronization program intended to improve traffic safety and reduce congestion.
Signals will be specially timed on Glenoaks between Buena Vista Street and Alameda Avenue, city officials said, converting Glenoaks into an alternate route to the nearby Golden State Freeway, which is often crowded.
