ANTELOPE VALLEY : Santa Ana Firm Gets Public Transit Contract
A Santa Ana-based firm, DAVE Transportation Services, was awarded a three-year contract Wednesday to operate all public transit services in the Antelope Valley, including commuter buses, the local fixed-route bus system and dial-a-ride.
The contract was approved by the board of the newly formed Antelope Valley Transit Authority, which represents the cities of Lancaster and Palmdale and the county of Los Angeles. The public agency expects to pay the company nearly $3.5 million for the first year of the contract.
Services now provided by other companies will shift to the new company in June.
