THE EMPIRE WRITES BACK
Ontario’s Haven Avenue had the potential to be great, but little differentiates it from a dozen other expressways found in Southern California. It is not great; it is landscaped. Rancho Cucamonga is another halogen star field on the side of the freeway, and Haven Avenue is just another off-ramp. At night, one can almost hear the ghost of Mel Blanc as he calls out “Anaheim, Azusa and Cucamonga!” More vision, please.
