Undercover detectives raided a home and four cars in El Monte and found an estimated $3 million in cash believed to be profits from a $1-million-a-day cocaine ring, authorities said Wednesday.

Five men were arrested about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the raid at 11634 Woodville Drive. “It was a drug operation and the money was being held there and transported from there to Mexico for laundering,” Pomona Lt. Ron Frazier said. Undercover officers found large amounts of cash in four cars stopped as they left the home, he said. The remainder of the cash was found in the house.

The estimated $3 million was thought to be two or three days’ receipts from a cocaine ring. Officers also seized several handguns as well as an Acura Legend, Mazda RX-7 and two Nissan Pulsars.
