Honda Recalls Some Motorcycles: American Honda Motor Co. recalled some of its 1993 motorcycles to inspect front brake systems. Honda said some of its 1993 model CBR900RR motorcycles may not have adequate clearance between the front-disc brake and caliper assembly. The condition can cause the front brake to overheat and reduce braking performance, Honda said. The rear brake system on the motorcycles isn’t affected, Honda said. The company said there were no reports of such a condition occurring on the motorcycles in the United States and that it was contacting owners of the affected motorcycles. About 1,254 of the motorcycles in the United States are affected by the recall. Brake systems will be inspected and, if necessary, the front brake pads replaced free of charge at Honda dealers, the company said.
