San Diego : Body Parts Found Near Air Station
A clean-up crew working in an embankment near the Miramar Naval Air Station on Friday discovered what appeared to be a human foot encased in a plastic bag, San Diego police said.
The grisly find led police to additional body parts at the site.
The cleanup crew was collecting trash behind a building complex at 7077 Consolidated Way about 10:30 a.m. Friday when they found the foot inside a shoe packaged in a plastic bag, police said.
Police called to the scene later discovered several other badly decomposed body parts, possibly belonging to a man whose race and age had not been determined, authorities said.
Police said the victim had silver and gold tooth fillings and wore blue jeans and tennis shoes.
Police said they had no suspects.
