Dolco Posts Profit After Chapter 11 Reorganization
Dolco Packaging Corp., a Sherman Oaks manufacturer of plastic packaging products that emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization last July, reported a return to profitability in the quarter ended March 31, despite an 8% decline in sales.
Dolco’s first-quarter profit was $522,000, on sales of $14.6 million. A year earlier, it lost $587,000 on sales of $16 million.
The company said the first-quarter 1991 loss included $822,000 in costs related to plant closings, environmental remediation and the bankruptcy.
