VENTURA : Man Flees After Robbing Bank

A man got away with an undetermined amount of cash Monday after robbing a First Interstate Bank in Ventura, police said.

The suspect entered the Main Street bank about 12:20 p.m., produced a demand note and told the teller that he had a gun, police said. The teller handed over the money, and the suspect fled, police said.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery, and nobody was hurt, police said. The unidentified suspect remained at large Monday night, a police official said.
