Suspect identification--A story Tuesday incorrectly reported that Francisco Torres, arrested in the death of an apartment tenant, was the victim’s landlord. Torres is not the landlord. In addition, the victim’s surname was misspelled. He has been identified as Richard Means. Police reported Tuesday that Torres was released for lack of evidence.

Torres is the landlord of an apartment building in the 2100 block of North Parish Place, where the body of Richard Manes, 31, was found April 18. Manes had been bludgeoned to death in his apartment.

Police would not release details of the killing.

Torres was on probation for an earlier drug conviction at the time of killing, Goldberg said.
