Woodbridge’s Loewe to Enroll at Air Force

Woodbridge High basketball player Todd Loewe, who was close to signing with Cal State Northridge two weeks ago, will instead enroll in the Air Force Academy.

“I was heading in Northridge’s direction,” said Loewe, an All-Sea View League selection who played in the Orange County all-star game. “I was going to sign, but there was something wrong with the letter of intent and I had to send it back.

“In the three days it took to get (the letter) back, I had changed my mind and decided to go to Air Force.”

Loewe, who averaged 17.3 points last season, also was considering Yale, UC Davis and Santa Clara.
