American Labor Unions
Apparently, a lot of young people do not understand the role unions played in this country. There has been years of propaganda undermining the unions by management that is believed today.
Unions set the standards. Any pay increases and benefits came at their insistence. Non-union places fell in line in order to keep good workers. This is key to comparative pay. The only unions that are very strong today are the government ones and the taxpayer picks up that tab.
If you will check the last 20 years as union power waned, you will see paychecks go down or stand still. Statistics bear this out.
People must understand that the Republican Party leaders are pro-management. They are very clear on this. Busting unions has a ripple effect across all industries. In putting the Republicans in charge time after time you are saying you do not understand or you do not care.
