OJAI : Woman Dies After Crash at Intersection
A 57-year-old Ojai woman was killed Wednesday morning as she attempted to turn from Fairview Road onto California 33 near Ojai.
Patricia Campbell tried to maneuver her 1985 Honda Civic onto the highway about 9:15 a.m. after two vehicles traveling south passed the Fairview intersection, California Highway Patrol officials said.
When Campbell drove onto California 33, she struck a U.S. Forest Service vehicle that was traveling north, the officials said.
Campbell was taken to Ojai Valley Hospital, suffering from traumatic internal injuries, a Ventura County coroner’s spokeswoman said.
She was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m., the spokeswoman said.
