Mark Christensen of Trabuco Hills High School has orally committed to attend UC Irvine on a partial golf and partial academic scholarship, Mustang golf Coach Gary Sabella said Tuesday.

Christensen is the top player at Trabuco Hills, one of the county’s better teams.

Kimiko Bandy, a sprinter at Santa Ana Valley, has signed a letter of intent to attend Cal State Fullerton, Falcon track Coach George Payan said. Bandy, who has personal bests of 10.8 seconds in the 100-meters and 21.9 in the 200, also plans to play wide receiver for the Titan football team.

Bandy, who transferred to Santa Ana Valley from Saddleback, did not play football last season. During his junior year, Bandy was Saddleback’s leading receiver in receptions and yardage and earned honorable mention All-Sea View League honors.
