U.S. Wants Warning on Flights to Colombia

WASHINGTON —
The Transportation Department said Friday that it plans to require airlines flying from the United States to Cali, Colombia, to attach a notice to passenger tickets warning of possible dangers in that region.
The State Department has previously warned Americans not to travel to several parts of Colombia, including the area around Cali, because of guerrilla and criminal activity.
Travel by American government employees has also been restricted by the U.S. Embassy in Colombia.
