Memorial Service Set for Gay Rights Activist
A Los Angeles memorial service is scheduled June 17 for Morty Manford, an attorney and early gay-rights advocate who died May 14 in Flushing, N.Y., of AIDS. The 5 p.m. service will be at the home of Russ Ramirez and Bob Dallmeyer, 1532 N. Hayworth Ave., Los Angeles. Manford was a co-founder and first president of the Gay Activists Alliance based in New York, and consulted with the Gay Liberation Front of Los Angeles.
