Dickran Barsam’s Paris tip in your May 17 “Letters from Readers” left out something important. Calls can be placed at post offices all over France. You check in at the window and then are directed to a telephone in a cubicle. Charges are paid upon completion of the call. If you call from a hotel, it can be much more expensive.
