PLATFORM : Yeltsin’s Compassion

I think (Boris Yeltsin in making these disclosures) was a hell of a lot more humane than not. If he brings it out, if it’s his understanding that these fliers were held, or are held, his bringing it out is going to burst this last carbuncle of the Vietnam War. It will have to be dealt with. If he hadn’t said anything, nothing at all would be done. Even if it is just a rumor, everything’s going to get checked out.

Anyone who saw Yeltsin (during the coup attempt last August) would have to give the guy some credit. I think he’s a compassionate guy. Matter of fact, I’d rather vote for him than Ross Perot.

You live by the sword, you die by the sword. (The possible POWs) are lucky to be alive, if they are alive. The U.S. government has lied to its population ever since the Revolutionary War, and it will never change. They lied to us in Vietnam, they lied to us in Korea, they lied to us in World War II about why it was coming on.
