Police on Saturday said they arrested two people involved in Thursday’s Lima car bombing, where the death toll looked certain to reach more than 30 people.

Police said the two were brought from Peru’s central mining region by Sendero Luminoso (Shining Path) guerrillas to take part in the bombing that devastated a Lima suburb.

Police issued a list of 18 people who died in Thursday’s car bomb attack as workers cleared rubble and glass from the bomb site. Authorities said at least 16 people were missing.
