Caring People

In your July 19 article about Shirley Jaffe’s birthday party at the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center, you mentioned that 25 students from the center will be visiting San Luis Obispo. I would like to stress that their visit is not “courtesy of John Koger,” but rather is due to the efforts and generosity of scores of caring people in this community.

The welcome extended by San Luis Obispo to these South Los Angeles students is a result of many individuals working together to help make a difference.
