A warrant was issued in Phoenix for former New York Jet defensive end Mark Gastineau for failing to appear in court to answer allegations that he violated terms of a drug-counseling program.

Authorities allege that the Scottsdale, Ariz., resident, now a professional boxer, did not submit to urine testing, attend counseling sessions, pay for fees or respond to letters from the program, which was required after a conviction for narcotics possession.
