El Monte : Moreno Joins School Board

Joe Moreno has been appointed to the Board of Education of the Mountain View School District to fill the unexpired term of Maria Avila, who resigned to accept an appointment to the El Monte City Council.
Moreno, 39, has lived in El Monte for 38 years. He has two children who have gone through the district schools, one currently in the schools and a preschooler. The term expires in November, 1993.
Owner of a building design firm, Moreno is a commissioner for the El Monte Property Maintenance Commission, past chairman of the El Monte City Beautification Committee and past president of El Monte Eastern Little League.
