One Down: With London awash in new libel charges and countercharges involving pop star Michael Jackson, another libel suit was settled out of court Thursday. The Sun agreed to pay actor John Cleese nearly $48,000 to settle a libel lawsuit involving two articles the tabloid published in March making allegations about his sex drive. The tabloid later withdrew the allegations. Cleese said he will donate the money to the Fulbright Foundation, which encourages British screenwriters.
