Third Walkout Hits SAS: Norwegian SAS flight attendants staged the third wildcat strike in a week against the Scandinavian airline, causing 50 international flights to be canceled. Most domestic flights were unaffected, the airline said. Swedish employees of SAS struck Tuesday and Wednesday on flights to and from Stockholm, and Danish workers held a two-day strike last week. All the strikes were to protest the airline’s plan to cut staff to make room for employees of the Swedish domestic airline Linjeflyg, which SAS recently purchased. SAS--Scandinavian Airlines System--is owned by the governments of Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
