Gardena Avenue, 1900 block--A man with an unloaded rifle tried to intimidate a woman into opening her apartment door at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 10, but the woman’s daughter called police and the man was arrested.
East Colorado Street, 1100 block--A fast-food employee was robbed at 8 a.m. Aug. 11 of about $50 by a man she believed had a gun under his shirt.
Chevy Chase and Emerald Isle drives--A motorist was robbed at gunpoint of his car, valued at $10,500, and his watch, bracelet and $175 cash at 1:26 a.m. Aug. 12.
West Mountain Street, 1900--A TV, VCR, phone, microwave oven, stereo and jewelry, valued together at $2,660, were stolen from a home between 2 and 8 p.m. Aug. 12.
Patterson Avenue, 700 block--Burglars entered a home and stole a CD player, jewelry and a VCR, valued together at $2,720, between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Aug. 12.
North Orange Street, 100 block--A woman reported that her purse, containing $150, was snatched from her shoulder while she shopped at House of Fabrics at 10:10 a.m. Aug. 13.
Fairfield Street, 1400 block--Two guitars, valued at $950, were stolen from a home between 8:25 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 13.
South Verdugo Road, 200 block--The White Brothers Investments building was burglarized on Aug. 14 or 15. A TV, two model cars, a fax machine, four stereos and numerous tools, valued at more than $2,100, were stolen.
South Verdugo Road, 700 block--A woman walking on the sidewalk with her son was robbed at knifepoint of her purse, which contained $50, at 12:15 p.m. Aug. 15.
North Louise Street, 700 block--Thieves ransacked an apartment between 2:45 and 6:45 p.m. Aug. 16. A wallet containing $900 cash and $400 in jewelry were stolen.
South Jackson Street, 200 block--A man reported that an acquaintance assaulted him and robbed him of a VCR, valued at $450, between 2:30 and 4:55 p.m. Aug. 16.
West Lexington Drive, 400 block--Two men with a sawed-off shotgun tried to rob a grocery employee of $485 cash, but the robbers fled empty-handed after they apparently spotted a surveillance camera.

Hayman Avenue, 4700 block--A steel safe containing papers and jewelry, valued at $40,000, a car, valued at $46,000, and $200 cash were stolen from a home, which was also ransacked, between 7:50 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Aug. 9.
Alcorn Drive, 4500 block--Between Aug. 1 and 15, a home was burglarized, and a cordless phone and a VCR, valued together at $400, were stolen.
Alcorn Drive, 4500 block--A woman reported that she saw three men trespassing on her property at 2:15 p.m. Aug. 14, and then she noticed that an outside screen had been removed. They fled as she called authorities.
Beulah Drive, 4300 block--Two antique iron urns and a boot scraper, valued at $450, were stolen from outside a home on Aug. 14 or 15.
Knight Way, 400 block--A laptop computer, valued at $2,000, was stolen from an unlocked vehicle about 1 p.m. Aug. 14.

Townsend Avenue, 4800 block--Thieves entered a home and stole money and jewelry, valued at $7,945, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 11.
Campus Road, 1500 block--A home was ransacked and burglarized between 8:40 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. Aug. 12. A handgun, firearms and money, valued together at $6,732, were stolen.
Caspar Avenue, 5100 block--Sporting goods valued at $3,225 were stolen from a driveway on Aug. 10 or 11.
Echo Park
North Alvarado Street, 1300 block--A man armed with a revolver entered a market at 9:55 p.m. Aug. 9 and robbed several checkers of $1,100 cash.
New Depot Street, 900 block--Four men accosted a man at gunpoint and robbed him of $470 in money and jewelry at 9:50 p.m. Aug. 13.
North Occidental Boulevard, 1400 block--Computer and video equipment valued at $1,200 were stolen from a home between 6 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Aug. 14.
Glendale Boulevard, 1700 block--Two men entered an auto sales lot and robbed a salesman of $508 in jewelry and cash at 4:45 p.m. Aug. 14.
Glassell Park
San Fernando Road, 2300 block--A man saw a thief in his car at 9:45 a.m. Aug. 10. The car owner tried to intervene, but the thief fought the victim and fled with tools and a cellular phone valued at $403.
Highland Park
San Pascual Avenue, 300 block--Video equipment and a stereo, valued at $2,550, were stolen from a home between 11:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Aug. 12.
North Avenue 50, 300 block--Three men forced open the front door of an apartment and stole video equipment and a stereo, valued at $1,050, at 3:20 p.m. Aug. 12.
Avenue 60 and Figueroa Street--Two men robbed a person on a sidewalk at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 13 of jewelry valued at $570.
South Avenue 52, 200 block--Appliances and jewelry, valued at $1,640, were stolen from an apartment that was also ransacked on Aug. 11 or 12.
North Figueroa Street, 5600 block--Two men grabbed a purse and money, valued at $210, but were unsuccessful in snatching a woman’s necklace at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 13.
York Boulevard and Avenue 51--A woman waiting for the bus was robbed of her purse and money, valued at $133, at 6:10 a.m. Aug. 15.
York Boulevard and Avenue 54--Two gunmen robbed a motorist of his car and $240 cash at 2 a.m. Aug. 15.

Hyperion Avenue, 2900 block--Jewelry valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from an apartment on Aug. 11.
Hyperion Avenue, 2800 block--A bartender was robbed at gunpoint of $681 cash at 1:50 a.m. Aug. 12.
North Vermont Avenue, 1600 block--A person in a parking facility was robbed at gunpoint by a man who fled with money and jewelry, valued at $3,675, at 11:50 a.m. Aug. 12.
Rowena Avenue, 3200 block--An apartment was broken into on the evening of Aug. 12, and a TV and jewelry, valued at $2,270, were stolen.
Dracena Drive, 1900 block--A thief entered an unlocked home and stole jewelry and cash, valued together at $6,132, early Aug. 15.
Silver Lake
Veselich Avenue, 4000 block--A TV and video equipment, valued at $1,150, were stolen from an apartment on Aug. 11 or 12.
Ingledale Terrace, 3000 block--Business machines and a TV, valued at $1,954, were stolen from a home on Aug. 11 or 12.
Sunset Boulevard, 4000 block--A man robbed a cashier of $300 at gunpoint at noon Aug. 15.
