REDONDO BEACH : Another Stretch of Beach Reopened After 3 Days
A stretch of coastline in Redondo Beach, closed since Monday morning because of high bacteria counts, was reopened Thursday.
The three-quarters-of-a-mile stretch of beach, from the Redondo Beach Pier south to Knob Hill Avenue, had been closed after the discovery of a leaking sewer pipe attached to the underside of the pier. County health officials Wednesday reopened Mother’s Beach in Marina del Rey, which had been closed since Saturday.
