Spreading the Word: Three television programs will receive the Scott Newman Center’s Drug Abuse Prevention Awards Tuesday at the Four Seasons. To be honored for creating awareness of the dangers of drug abuse: “The Broken Cord,” seen on ABC; an episode of CBS’ “Murphy Brown” and “Women and Alcohol” presented on ABC’s “Home” show.
