La Puente : Senior Complex Plans OKd

The City Council gave the final go-ahead Tuesday to a proposed 72-unit senior citizens apartment complex.
The council voted 5 to 0 to allow developer Jose Gutierrez to build the three-story project on a 1.13-acre site at 1040 Unruh Ave. Under the approved plans, Gutierrez must provide residents with a free shuttle service for such errands as grocery shopping and doctors’ appointments.
