In Sacramento they don’t dare raise revenue by taxing the wealthy and comfortable, an act which would hardly make a dent in the quality of their lives.
So when sacrifices are needed to meet budget requirements, who is called upon to make these sacrifices? The mentally ill, the physically disabled, the welfare mother, the homeless, the hungry, the schools, the teachers, the abused and neglected, both young and old.
And why must they make the sacrifices? Because they are poor! They deserve it! It serves them right.
