A man already suspected of robbing two banks in the past month held up a Great Western Bank in Camarillo on Monday and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, authorities said.

About 11:30 a.m., a man in his mid-20s entered the branch at 2300 E. Ponderosa Drive and approached a teller, said FBI Agent Gary Auer.

The robber presented the teller a demand note and claimed to have a weapon, but did not show one, Auer said. The man fled after being given an undetermined amount of money, Auer said.

Based on descriptions by witnesses, the clean-cut Hispanic male is believed to have robbed two other banks last month. He is a suspect in the Aug. 20 robbery of a Security Pacific Bank branch in downtown Ventura and an Aug. 24 heist at American Commercial Bank on Mills Road in Ventura, Auer said.
