SAN DIEGO : Two Teen-Agers Killed in Collision

Two San Diego teen-agers were killed Saturday night after an allegedly drunk driver collided with the motorcycle they were riding, police said.

Mayra Cendejas, 15, a ninth-grade student, and Genaro Diaz, 19, were killed at 9:07 p.m. at the intersection of California 94 and 30th Street after a car hit their motorcycle.

Leighton Cullars, 30, was arrested and charged with felony drunk driving, vehicular hit and run and two counts of felony manslaughter. Cullars, who was on probation for driving under the influence, was driving southbound on 30th Street and made a left turn to take the westbound highway ramp.

Cullars turned in front of Diaz, who was driving the motorcycle northbound on 30th Street. Diaz and Cendejas were pronounced dead at the scene, San Diego police said.

Cendejas lived in the 2800 block of B Street; Diaz lived in the 100 block of South 32nd Street.
