Pelle Eklund will miss four to six weeks because of a broken ankle, leaving the Philadelphia Flyers without part of their top line as the NHL season begins.

Eklund, scheduled to play left wing with Eric Lindros and Mark Recchi, broke his right ankle in the second period of an exhibition game against the Boston Bruins Thursday night in Atlanta.

The loss left the Flyers without a proven scorer on left wing.
