Public Opinion and Iraqgate

In 1936 my high school yearbook noted that I was strong for peace and peace parades; 53 years later I marched against the Gulf War and was vilified as a traitor.

I read your article about Iraqgate, which remarked there was no public outrage. Could it be that this same public, who waved their flags and displayed yellow ribbons in a frenzy of support for this war, and called me a traitor, could it be they can’t face this betrayal by their President?
