1 Killed, 3 Hurt as Car Hits Bus Stop Bench
SEAL BEACH — A car driven by an 85-year-old woman smashed into a sidewalk bus stop bench Thursday, killing one person and injuring three, authorities said.
The driver was unhurt in the 5:10 p.m. accident on Seal Beach Boulevard, said city police dispatcher Melissa Norlund. The driver’s name wasn’t released.
One person who was hit at the bus bench died at an area hospital, Norlund said. Three others were hospitalized with various injuries.
Their identities and conditions were not immediately released.
The accident is under investigation, Norlund said.
