Bradbury : City Budget in the Black
The city has accepted its annual financial report from the accounting firm of McGladrey & Pullen, which indicates the city remains in excellent financial health.
Revenue from city services and other sources exceeded expenditures again in the fiscal year that ended June 30.
Bradbury is unusual in that it has no commercial businesses and, consequently, receives no sales taxes.
Licenses and permits for such activities as on-location filming of feature films and television programs is an important source of income.
The city entered the new fiscal year showing a fund balance of $1,067,314, the report showed.
