2 Unhurt in Airport Small Plane Crash
SANTA ANA —
Two occupants of a small aircraft escaped unhurt Friday evening when their plane skidded off the runway and crashed at John Wayne Airport, authorities said.
The two occupants, who were not identified, were practicing touch-and-go landings about 5:20 p.m. when the incident occurred, said Art Morriston, a spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration.
The single-engine airplane was substantially damaged.
