Failing Government
Your article “Neighbors, City Lock Horns Over House of Ill Dispute” (Nov. 9) sadly illustrates how Los Angeles city government is failing its citizens.
The inability to move fast and decisively in selling a city-owned house on Palm Grove Avenue currently a haven for bums and gang members is simply abhorring. It is scary that no one in city government seems to be able to break through the cumbersome procedures and the lengthy approval process needed from five city agencies to speed up what reportedly would take up to one year.
Los Angeles desperately needs drastic reform but most of all it needs real leadership something, which seems to have been lacking all too long.
