TV Things: Curt Gowdy Jr. has been named producer of the 20th Daytime Emmy Awards, which will air May 26 in prime time on ABC. Gowdy has won Emmys for his work as a producer for ABC Sports. . . . Woody Fraser, who created ABC’s “Home” show in 1988, will return to the program as executive producer on Monday, replacing Marty Ryan, who departed suddenly this week “to pursue other interests in television production.” Ryan, the former executive producer of the “Today” show, took over “Home” from Fraser in July, 1991. . . . “The Montel Williams Show” will be around for another year. Viacom, the talk-show’s syndicator, gave the program a commitment for the 1993-94 season.
