Paul Ryan; British Pop Singer of 1960s Worked With Twin Brother

Paul Ryan, 44, half of the British 1960s pop duo Paul and Barry Ryan. Paul and Barry, twin sons of singer Marion Ryan, released their first single, “Don’t Bring Me Your Heartaches,” in 1965 and it was followed by other chart successes. In 1968 they agreed to stop performing together, with Paul concentrating on songwriting. The same year, however, saw their most successful collaboration on record, the dramatic million-selling “Eloise,” written by Paul and sung by Barry. In the 1970s, Paul moved to the West Coast, returning to London in 1985, where he opened a chain of hairdressing salons. One of his songs, “I Will Drink the Wine,” was recorded by Frank Sinatra.
