Store Opened: The Gap has opened a store at Crystal Court, across the street from the South Coast Plaza location that it recently expanded and redecorated. It becomes the latest among the plaza’s more successful retailers to have stores on both sides of Bear Street.
Wouldn’t one steal sales from the other? No, South Coast Plaza magnate Henry T. Segerstrom says. The stores actually complement each other, he says, and boost retail sales overall.
