LANCASTER : Burned Body Found Inside Car After Fire
Firefighters found the badly burned body of a man after extinguishing a car fire near Lancaster, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday.
The remains were found in the car about 11:15 p.m. Monday at 110th Street West and Avenue G, Sheriff’s Deputy Angie McLaughlin said. The body had not been identified Tuesday.
“It was very, very badly burned,” county coroner’s investigator Nils Linder said.
Authorities also said they did not know whether the victim died before or during the fire.
Deputies and arson specialists from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were continuing to investigate the incident.
