Diamond Bar : Miller Selected as Mayor
Gary G. Miller has been elevated from city councilman to mayor in the City Council’s annual reorganization.
Council members Tuesday also voted to retain Phyllis Papen as mayor pro tem.
In another change, the council next week will begin interviewing 15 applicants for the council seat vacated by Jay C. Kim, the previous mayor, who became the first Korean-American elected to Congress in November.
The council will vote to fill the vacancy Dec. 15.
