She’s Not a Threat
I have been voting and reading editorial comments for 25-plus years. But now that the media have identified and labeled me the dreaded “religious right,” I have become a curse to my country and to the Republican Party.
Since when has a God-fearing person who has been happily married for 25 years; who has raised two educated, voting, and responsible citizens; who has an earned MA degree and been an educator for 25 years; who has owned and kept up property for as many years; who works hard for every dollar earned, receiving nothing from the government; who believes in prayer, country, and the sanctity of life--since when have I become a threat to all that’s decent in America? Can anyone answer that?
