Lockheed May Move Ontario Unit: Lockheed Corp. is considering whether to shift its aircraft modification operations in Ontario to Ft. Worth’s soon-to-be-vacant Carswell Air Force Base, Chairman Daniel Tellup said. His comments came during a news conference on the F-16 assembly line at General Dynamics Corp.’s aircraft plant in Ft. Worth. Carswell, scheduled for closure in 1994, is among five sites under consideration, Tellup said. But he added: “We haven’t decided to move the Ontario operations anywhere yet.” Lockheed’s Aircraft Service Co. in Ontario modifies planes for high-tech military operations.
