The Florida Marlins are expected to announce today that they have signed catcher Benito Santiago to a one-year contract worth $3.8 million. Orestes Destrade, three-time Japanese League home run champion and a Cuban who grew up in Miami, signed a two-year contract with the Marlins worth an estimated $3.5 million.
