SIMI VALLEY : Man Arrested in Alleged Molestation
Simi Valley police arrested a man in San Jose on Thursday on suspicion of child molestation in connection with an incident two years ago at a Simi Valley hotel, authorities said.
Roger Neil Dorsey, 42, of San Jose was returned to Ventura County on Thursday, Sgt. Andy McCluskey said.
In September, 1990, Dorsey was a counselor for a youth organization on a field trip to Catalina Island, McCluskey said. On their return trip, the group stopped for the night at a Simi Valley hotel, where Dorsey allegedly molested a boy in the group, he said.
The 13-year-old boy, whose identity was withheld, mentioned the incident to another counselor last July, and the counselor notified police in Simi Valley where the molestation allegedly occurred, McCluskey said.
Dorsey was booked at County Jail, but was released on bail, a jail official said. Arraignment is scheduled on Dec. 31.
