Quoting from “Charity Putting Its Faith in House of Hope” (Dec. 3): “There are up to 4,000 homeless women and children in Orange County on the streets, but only 300 beds available at any one time to take care of them.”

This represents only a small segment of homeless throughout our great nation.

How can President-elect Clinton promise to rescind the Bush Administration policy of repatriation of Haitian refugees with so many of our citizens being neglected?
