Urban Problems and GOP Policies
On your Dec. 10 Commentary page we read in headlines that “virtually everything that ails our cities can be traced to federal policies spawned by the Reagan/Bush agenda” (“The Rot Starts in Washington,” by David W. Lyon and James D. Steinberg).
From this we must assume that the Watts riots, which occurred long before those two culprits (Reagan and Bush) got in office were merely a back-yard bonfire since the cities at that time were serene drug- and crime-free havens of friendship and economic prosperity.
Come on, fellows. Why do you insist on printing such flagrantly biased drivel?
